American Hustle - Oscar Film Fact (2013) Jennifer Lawrence Movie HD

American Hustle is a 2013 American crime comedy-drama film directed by David O. Russell, from a screenplay written by Eric Warren Singer and Russell, loosely based on the FBI ABSCAM operation of the late 1970s and early '80s. It stars Christian Bale and Amy Adams as two con artists who are forced by an FBI agent (Bradley Cooper) to set up an elaborate sting operation on corrupt politicians, including the mayor of Camden, New Jersey (Jeremy Renner). Jennifer Lawrence plays the unpredictable wife of Bale's character.

Principal photography on American Hustle began on March 8, 2013 in Boston and Worcester, Massachusetts, and New York City. The film had its nationwide release in the United States on December 20, 2013. The film received critical acclaim and has been a box office success. It received ten Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay, and became the second film since 1981 to be nominated in the four acting categories, the first being Silver Linings Playbook, also directed by Russell and also starring Cooper and Lawrence. American Hustle won three Golden Globe Awards, the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and three BAFTA Awards, among other achievements.

Plot
In 1978, con artists Irving Rosenfeld and Sydney Prosser have met, started a relationship, and are working together. Sydney has improved Rosenfeld's scams, posing as English aristocrat "Lady Edith Greensley". They are a well-matched couple, but Irving is hesitant to leave his adopted son Danny with his wife Rosalyn, who will not divorce him.

FBI agent Richard "Richie" DiMaso catches Irving and Sydney in a loan scam but offers to release them if Irving can line up four additional arrests. Sydney opposes the agreement. Richie believes Sydney is English but has proof that her claim of aristocracy is fraudulent. Sydney tells Irving she will manipulate Richie, distancing herself from Irving.

Irving has a friend pretend to be a wealthy Arab Sheikh looking for potential investments in America. An associate of Irving's suggests that the Sheikh do business with Mayor Carmine Polito of Camden, New Jersey. The popular mayor is campaigning to revitalize gambling in Atlantic City but has struggled to raise the necessary funds. Richie devises a plan to entrap Carmine despite the objections of his boss Stoddard Thorsen and Irving. Sydney helps Richie manipulate an FBI secretary into making an unauthorized wire transfer of $2,000,000. When Stoddard's boss, Anthony Amado, hears of the operation, he praises Richie's initiative, pressuring Stoddard to continue the operation.

Richie's over-eagerness to catch Carmine causes the mayor to leave their meeting. Irving convinces Carmine that the Sheikh is legitimate, expressing his dislike toward Richie, and the two become friends. Richie arranges for Carmine to meet the Sheikh at an airfield, forcing Stoddard into further expenses. Without consulting the others, Richie has Mexican-American FBI agent Paco Hernandez play the part of the Sheikh.

Carmine brings the Sheikh to a casino party, telling him that mobsters are there and it is a necessary part of doing business. Irving is surprised to see that the violent Mafia overlord Victor Tellegio, second-in-command to Meyer Lansky, is there, and wants to meet the Sheikh. Tellegio explains the business will need the Sheikh to become an American citizen, and Carmine will need to expedite the process, bribing officials if necessary. Tellegio also requires a $10,000,000 wire transfer, to prove the Sheikh's legitimacy. Richie agrees, eager to bring down Tellegio, while Irving realizes the operation is out of control.

Richie confesses his attraction to Sydney, but becomes confused and aggressive when she drops her English accent and admits to being American. Irving arrives to protect Sydney and tries to call off their deal with Richie, but Richie says that if they back out, Tellegio will learn of the scam and murder Sydney, Irving, Rosalyn, and Danny.

Rosalyn starts an affair with Pete Musane, a mobster she met at the party. She mentions her belief that Irving is possibly working with the Internal Revenue Service, so Pete threatens Irving, who promises to prove the Sheikh's investment is real. Irving later confronts Rosalyn, who admits she told Pete because she feels unloved. Rosalyn agrees to keep quiet about the plan but wants a divorce.

With Carmine's help, Richie and Irving entrap members of Congress into receiving bribes on videotape. Richie goes over Stoddard, convincing Amado that $10,000,000 is needed to entrap Tellegio, but only gets $2,000,000. A meeting is arranged at the offices of Tellegio's lawyer Alfonse Simone, but Tellegio does not show up. The operation continues, and Richie records an admission of criminal activities when Simone accepts the transfer.

Irving visits Carmine's house and admits to the scam but tells Carmine he has a plan to help him. Carmine blames Irving, saying he only wanted to improve New Jersey and throws Irving out, their friendship now destroyed, much to Irving's regret. Later, the money is missing, but an anonymous source offers to return it in exchange for immunity for Irving and Sydney and a reduced sentence for Carmine. Amado is willing to make the deal, but Richie objects. Irving suggests Richie either has the money or is incompetent for losing it—in fact, Irving and Richie never met with Tellegio's lawyer. Instead, Irving had a friend pose as the lawyer Simone to con Richie, giving Irving needed leverage, and keeping them from earning the wrath of the mob. Amado accepts the deal and removes Richie from the case, dropping him back into obscurity.

Irving and Sydney open a legitimate art gallery and move in together, while Rosalyn lives with Pete. Rosalyn shares custody of her son Danny with Irving. Tellegio accepts that Irving and Sydney deflected attention from him and leaves them to get on with their lives.

Development
The film began its life as a screenplay titled American Bullshit, by Eric Warren Singer. The screenplay was listed at #8 on the 2010 Black List of unproduced screenplays. The film was set up at Columbia Pictures with Charles Roven and Richard Suckle producing through Atlas Entertainment, who initially considered Ben Affleck to direct before David O. Russell ultimately signed on to helm the film. Russell re-wrote Singer's screenplay, replacing the characters with caricatures of their respective real-life figures.

Production
Principal photography started on March 8, 2013 and wrapped in May 2013. The film was shot using locations in and around Boston, Massachusetts (such as in Worcester) and New York. Filming had to be put on hold in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings with the city in lockdown. After lockdown was lifted, the film wrapped its Boston shoot and spent its final few days of production in New York City.

Christian Bale revealed in an interview that the majority of his character interactions were improvised in multiple takes in which he questioned David O. Russell about the plot. Russell responded that what he had wanted to focus on the characters, rather than the plot. To prepare for the role, Christian Bale gained 50 pounds.
Release
Star Bradley Cooper and director David O. Russell in Paris at the film's French premiere, February 2014.

Director David O. Russell released the teaser trailer for the film on July 31, 2013, and a theatrical trailer was released on October 9, 2013. In the United States, the film made its wide release on December 20, 2013.

Box office
Variety estimated the production budget at $40 million. When producer Charles Roven was asked if the budget was in the $40 to $50 million area, he responded “I’d say that’s a good zone.” As of February 6, 2014, the film has earned $135,017,080 at the North American domestic box office and in international markets earned an additional $51,667,715, for a total worldwide box office of $186,684,795.

Critical response

American Hustle received many positive reviews upon its release. The cast received praise for their performances, notably Adams and Lawrence. Review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes gives the film a 93% rating, based on reviews from 240 critics with an average score of 8.2/10. The site's consensus reads, "Riotously funny and impeccably cast, American Hustle compensates for its flaws with unbridled energy and some of David O. Russell's most irrepressibly vibrant direction." Metacritic gives a score of 90/100, indicating "universal acclaim", based on reviews from 47 critics.

Christy Lemire awarded the film four out of four stars, praising David O. Russell's directing and the relationship between Irving and Sydney, as well as Jennifer Lawrence's portrayal of Rosalyn. She writes: "For all its brashness and big personality, American Hustle is a character study at its core—an exploration of dissatisfaction and drive, and the lengths to which we're willing to go for that elusive thing known as a better life." Richard Roeper of the Chicago Sun-Times gave the film an A+, especially complimenting Bradley Cooper's performance and stating that American Hustle was "the best time I've had at the movies all year." He later named it the year's best film. Time magazine's Richard Corliss wrote, "American Hustle is an urban eruption of flat-out fun — the sharpest, most exhilarating comedy in years. Anyone who says otherwise must be conning you."

Peter Debruge of Variety was critical of the film, calling it "a sloppy sprawl of a movie" and complaining that the improvisational performances overwhelm instead of adding to a coherent plot." He also went on to write that it "makes your brain hurt — and worse, overwhelms the already overcomplicated Abscam retelling at the center of the film."

David Reidel, writer of the Charlottesville website C-Ville, attacked the film, stating, "Unfortunately, American Hustle is no masterpiece. It’s a bore. It’s a fictionalized account of Abscam, a late 1970s, early 1980s FBI sting that, in real life, resulted in convictions for about a half-dozen members of Congress (including a senator)."

Cinema Blend compared the movie to Martin Scorsese's 1990 film Goodfellas, accusing American Hustle of ripping off Scorsese, proclaiming, "Martin Scorsese has his Goodfellas. David O. Russell answers with his 'Mediocre-fellas'".
Accolades

American Hustle received seven Golden Globe Award nominations; it won for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, with Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence winning Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture respectively.

It received 10 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay, and became the second film since 1981 to be nominated in the four acting categories, the first being Silver Linings Playbook, which was also directed by David O. Russell and also starred Cooper and Lawrence. This is the second consecutive year in which a film by David O. Russell has received nominations in all four acting categories (after Silver Linings Playbook).

The film also took top honors at the Screen Actor's Guild (SAG) awards, winning for Outstanding Cast in a Motion Picture.

The film was also nominated for 10 British Academy Film Awards, with Jennifer Lawrence winning for Actress in a Supporting Role, and David O. Russell and Eric Warren Singer winning for Best Original Screenplay.
Home media

American Hustle will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 18, 2014.
Historical accuracy

American Hustle makes no great attempt at directly documenting the Abscam storyline (in addition to the strong inaccuracy): the names are changed, and the film begins with the unusual on-screen message, "Some of this actually happened". Major departures from reality include:

In the film, Irving Rosenfeld begins a life of criminality when he smashes storefront windows as a child in order to provide more work for his father's glass-installation business. (This mirrors the behavior of the title character in Charlie Chaplin's The Kid.) In real life, Melvin Weinberg began working for his father only as an adult. He did smash windows at that point, and according to one article after Abscam was revealed, it was indeed done to shore up business for Weinberg's father. A later report, however, states that it was done at the behest of the local union, to punish businesses who used non-union glaziers.

In the film, Camden mayor Carmine Polito is shown as a selfless politician who gets involved in the scam only to provide jobs to his constituents; Irving feels so bad for Carmine that he engineers a reduced sentence for him. In reality, though Camden mayor Angelo Errichetti was widely praised for caring about the people of Camden, he also had a reputation for committing crimes. During the Abscam operation offered to get the fake sheikh into illegal businesses such as money counterfeiting and drug smuggling. Though Weinberg developed a fondness for Errichetti as a man who "didn't beat around the bush", he made no attempt to protect Errichetti from prosecution.
Evelyn Knight, Weinberg's mistress on whom the character of Sydney Prosser is based, was involved in Weinberg's scams, though to a lesser extent than shown in the film; and she was not involved in Abscam. She was also English, not an American impersonating an Englishwoman as shown in the film.

Weinberg's wife Cynthia Marie Weinberg, the basis for Rosalyn Rosenfeld, is not known to have had an affair with someone from the mafia, nor did she nearly blow Weinberg's cover.

The character of Richie DiMaso is based to some extent on federal agent Tony Amoroso, although in real life Amoroso was just one of a number of agents involved in setting up and executing the scam.
In the film, the sheikh is impersonated by a Mexican-American FBI agent with very limited Arabic. In real life, the sheikh was played by two different agents: first briefly by an American, Mike Denehy, who spoke no Arabic, then by a Lebanese-American.

Extremists who oppose technological advancement target him, but their actions drive him toward his goal. Caster also wants to become part of the new technology, and his wife Evelyn and his best friend Max Waters, also researchers, question the wisdom of this drive. Caster's goal to acquire knowledge becomes one to acquire power, and he seems to be unstoppable.

Production
Transcendence is directed by cinematographer Wally Pfister in his directorial debut. Jack Paglen wrote the initial screenplay for Pfister to direct, and producer Annie Marter pitched the film to Straight Up Films. The pitch was sold to Straight Up. By March 2012, Alcon Entertainment acquired the project. Alcon financed and produced the film; producers from Straight Up and Alcon joined together for the film. In the following June, director Christopher Nolan, for whom Pfister has worked as cinematographer, and Nolan's producing partner Emma Thomas joined the film as executive producers. By October 2012, actor Johnny Depp entered negotiations to star in Transcendence. The Hollywood Reporter said Depp would have "a mammoth payday" with a salary of $20 million versus 15 percent of the film's gross. Pfister met with Noomi Rapace for the film's female lead role and also met with James McAvoy and Tobey Maguire for the other male lead role. The director offered a supporting role to Christoph Waltz. In March 2013, Rebecca Hall was cast as the female lead. By the following April, actors Paul Bettany, Kate Mara, and Morgan Freeman joined the main cast.

Continuing his advocacy for the use of film stock over digital cinematography, Wally Pfister chose to shoot the film in the anamorphic format on 35mm film. The film is going through a traditional photochemical finish instead of a digital intermediate.

The Chinese company DMG Entertainment entered a partnership with Alcon Entertainment to finance and produce the film. While DMG contributed Chinese elements to Looper and Iron Man 3, it did not do so for Transcendence. Filming officially began in June 2013.

Nurse 3D Official Trailer (2014) - Erotic Thriller HD

Nurse 3D is a 2013 3D thriller/horror film directed by Doug Aarniokoski and written by David Loughery. It stars Paz de la Huerta, Katrina Bowden, Corbin Bleu. The film is inspired by the photography of Lionsgate's chief marketing officer, Tim Palen. Production took place from September to October 2011.

The film was released on February 7, 2014 in selected theaters and on VOD.

Plot
The film opens with Abby Russell at a night club, where she explains to the audience - through narration - that her "job" is to murder cheating men in order to "keep scum off of the streets." Abby then murders a man by throwing him off of the roof of the club.

The next day, Dani (Katrina Bowden) is welcomed into the memorial hospital Abby, herself, works at as a head nurse. After a hard first day, the two go out for drinks later that night, which quickly escalates into Abby and Dani having sex.

The next day, after Dani abruptly leaves Abby's apartment due to drunken confusion, Abby downloads photos from the night before to her computer before going to see a psychiatrist, who is also Dani's stepfather.

After Abby realizes Dani's disliking for her stepfather, Abby murders him by paralyzingly him in his car and putting it in reverse, leading to a large truck smashing into the car, killing him. Afterwards, Dani goes to Abby's apartment with the spare key Abby gave her the day before, in case she needs to "get away." There, Abby gets angry at Dani for wanting to go to her boyfriend's house and tells Dani she hopes her stepfather's genitals were cut off in the car crash. Dani reveals she never told Abby that he was in a car crash, causing her to leave quickly.

At the funeral for her stepfather, Dani is questioned by a detective. Abby tells Dani she is hurt from the stepfather's death because she was a patient of his.

The next day at the hospital, a new Human Resources worker comes in, implying that Abby looks a lot like a girl she used to live next to that was sent to an institution when she was younger. That night, Abby and Rachel - the new Human Resources worker - go out for drinks. Dani is Skyped in the middle of the night from Abby's computer. When she answers, she sees Abby injecting Rachel with a syringe. Dani then calls the police on Abby, only to have the tables turned on her, with Abby and the police implying that Dani is obsessed with Abby and that she needs to stay away from her. The police reveal a series of photos taken from the night when Dani and Abby made love. Steve leaves quickly, angry at Dani because of it all.

Abby then viciously murders the head doctor at the hospital by slicing the word "Pig" into his chest and sawing off his body parts because of his lack of faithfulness to his wife and kids. The same night, Abby knocks out Rachel and drags her away, while Dani goes to the institution where Rachel said Abby's look alike went in order to find answers. There, a worker tells Dani the story of Sarah Price, a little girl who walked in on her father engaging in sex with another woman other than her mother. Sarah then murders her father and was sent to the institution, where a woman named Abigail Russell took her under her wing and raised her as her own once she was released from the institution at age eighteen. Dani then realizes that Abby is Sarah and has since taken the name of her caretaker, Abigail Russell.

Dani is driving home from the institution when she calls the hospital in order to be redirected to Rachel's phone. Once redirected, she hears a phone ringing in her car. She looks inside her trunk, where Rachel's bloody phone sits. She then receives a call from Abby, saying that Steve might receive the same treatment later that night. Dani rushes to the hospital, where her and Abby fight roughly. Abby rushes to a lab where patients are and brutally murders several of them and a few workers as well. Dani and Steve finally get inside when Abby, lying in a hospital bed, posing as a patient, stabs Steve in the neck.

Abby then rushes home. When outside, the detective from the funeral aims a gun at her and says she is under arrest. Abby, playing victim, acts as if she is being robbed. Her neighbor then comes outside and hits the detective over the head with a bat. They decide to hide his body instead of calling the police.

The film cuts to another time, where Abby is shown inside another hospital acting as if she is Rachel, implying that she has taken her identity, just as she did with Abigail Russell.

Ernest & Celestine Official US Release Trailer (2014) - Oscar Nominated Animated Movie HD

Ernest & Celestine (French: Ernest et Célestine) is a 2012 French-Belgian animated film directed by Stéphane Aubier, Vincent Patar and Benjamin Renner. The film is based on a series of children's books of the same name published by the Belgian author and illustrator Gabrielle Vincent.

The film was selected to be screened in the Directors' Fortnight section at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, as part of the TIFF Kids programme at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival and at the 2013 Hong Kong International Film Festival. It was selected for the grand competition at feature film edition of the 2013 World festival of animated film Animafest Zagreb and was screened as the opening film. The film was released in the United States in 2013 by GKIDS. The film received the Magritte Award for Best Film.

Plot
Celestine is a young mouse who lives in the underground world of rodents. At the orphanage where she lives, the caretaker tells scary stories about the evil nature of the bears that live in the outside world, though Celestine doubts the stories are entirely true. She loves to draw but must soon study dentistry, the occupation all rodents hold. In preparation, she must travel above ground to collect bear cubs' lost teeth from underneath pillows. On one such occasion, the cub's family catches Celestine in the act and chase her into a trash can where she spends the night. The next morning, a destitute and starving bear named Ernest discovers Celestine and attempts to eat her. When she convinces him not to and leads the way to a cellar full of food, an unlikely bond forms between the two. But as they soon discover, not everyone - above ground or below - is so accepting of their unprecedented friendship.

X-Men: Days of Future Past Official Trailers (2014) - Michael Fassbender Movie HD

X-Men: Days of Future Past is an upcoming 2014 American superhero film, based on the fictional X-Men characters appearing in Marvel Comics and on the 1981 Uncanny X-Men storyline "Days of Future Past" by Chris Claremont and John Byrne. Directed by Bryan Singer, it is the seventh film in the X-Men film series and the third X-Men film directed by Singer after 2000's X-Men and 2003's X2. It stars an ensemble cast including Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Jennifer Lawrence, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore, Nicholas Hoult, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, Adan Canto, Evan Peters, Josh Helman, Evan Joingket and Lucas Till. The story is written by Simon Kinberg, Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman, with Kinberg writing the screenplay.

Days of Future Past acts as a sequel to both 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand and 2011's X-Men: First Class, as well as a follow-up to 2013's The Wolverine. Principal photography began in April 2013 in Montreal, Canada and ended in August 2013. The film was shot in 3D and is scheduled to be released on May 23, 2014.

Premise
The X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in a battle that must change the past – to save their future.

Cast
Hugh Jackman as Logan / Wolverine:

A mutant with accelerated healing, enhanced senses, adamantium-laced skeleton and retractable bone and adamantium claws. Director Bryan Singer stated that "Hugh of the future is sent, his consciousness is sent into his younger self (and) Hugh gets to play both parts because (Wolverine) is ageless." Writer Simon Kinberg explained in an interview why Wolverine is the time traveler and he stated "We made the decision for a lot of reasons... One reason is that he's the protagonist of the franchise, and probably the most beloved character to a mass audience."

James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier / Professor X:

The world's most powerful telepath. Singer described the younger Xavier as being "a very different beast from First Class' feckless playboy. He's a wounded animal, bearded, long-haired, filled with rage at the way the world has treated him." According to Stewart, there will be an explanation for Professor X's return after he was vaporized by Jean Grey in X-Men: The Last Stand. Professor X's return was previously alluded to during a post-credits scene in X-Men: The Last Stand and a mid-credits scene in The Wolverine.

Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen as Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto:

A mutant with the ability to manipulate metallic objects. Singer described McKellen's role as "also a fixture in the future war, facing an enemy so monstrous that it forces former foes to band together."

Halle Berry as Ororo Munroe / Storm:

A mutant with the ability to manipulate the elements. Singer described Storm as "one of the last surviving X-Men in this post-apocalyptic world". Berry stated that "there’s something very revealing and shocking about Storm in this movie. There are some things you find out about her that I think give you much more insight into who she is." When asked about if her pregnancy affected Storm's role, she replied "I wasn’t in as much as I was meant to be. My ever-growing belly was posing a constant challenge! What I could do was getting more limited so the role that I play is so different from what it could have been, due to my surprise pregnancy."

Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkhölme / Mystique:

A mutant with the ability in shape-shifting. Singer stated that Mystique "is less innocent, evolved, getting closer to where Mystique was in X-Men 2." Lawrence revealed that Mystique is split off from Lensherr and Xavier and she has one mission of trying to assassinate somebody. She added "we’ve seen her (Mystique) in the future and what she becomes and this is kind of a turning point for her."

Anna Paquin as Rogue:

A mutant with the ability to absorb the mutant abilities of anyone she touches.

Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde:

A mutant with the ability to phase through solid objects. Singer described Pryde as the prime facilitator and that Pryde's phasing ability enables time-travel to happen.

Peter Dinklage as Bolivar Trask:

A military scientist and the head of Trask Industries who created a range of robots called Sentinels whose purpose is to hunt and destroy mutants. Dinklage stated that Trask "sees what he’s doing as a good thing — (his ambition is) definitely blind and he’s quite arrogant. He’s strove all his life for a certain respect and attention." He also stated that Trask is up against Richard Nixon.

Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy / Beast

A mutant with super-strength, agility and speed.

Shawn Ashmore as Bobby Drake / Iceman:

A mutant with the ability to create and manipulate ice. When Ashmore was asked about what can be expected to see how his character's relationship with Rogue has evolved since X-Men: The Last Stand, he replied "they’re constantly having these relationship issues so we’ll see what happens."

Omar Sy as Bishop:

A mutant with the ability to absorb energy to redirect it in kinetic blasts. Sy described Bishop as the guy from the future and that he fights for survival. Singer revealed that Bishop, along with Warpath, Sunspot and Blink, are not fresh recruits. He stated "they’re more refugees that are living day to day in this hideously ruined world. They don’t have much hope in the future. They’re on the run and they join forces with the remaining X-Men to try to do this one last attempt at fixing the world."

Daniel Cudmore as Peter Rasputin / Colossus

A mutant with the ability to transform his skin into organic steel.

Booboo Stewart as James Proudstar / Warpath

A mutant with super-strength, near invulnerability and the ability of flight.

Fan Bingbing as Blink:

A mutant with the ability to teleport.

Adan Canto as Sunspot:

A mutant with solar-powered super-strength and near invulnerability.

Evan Peters as Quicksilver:

A mutant with the ability to run at supersonic speeds. Peters described Quicksilver as "very fast, he talks quick, he moves quick. Everything else is very slow compared to him, it’s like he’s always at the ATM waiting for the bastard in front of him to finish."

Josh Helman as William Stryker

A military man who hates mutants.

Lucas Till as Alex Summers / Havok

A mutant with the ability to absorb cosmic energy and release it in plasma blasts.

Evan Jonigkeit as Toad

A mutant with super-strong legs, prehensile tongue and paralyzing mucus.

Ink will also appear.

RoboCop Official Trailer (2014) - Joel Kinnaman Movie HD

Robocop gets rebooted in this big-screen MGM production from director José Padilha. The picture will once again surround a slain police officer (played by The Killing's Joel Kinnaman) who gets resurrected as a crime-fighting cyborg until memories of his previous life begin to make him doubt his corrupt corporate overlords. Gary Oldman co-stars as the doctor who suffers a crisis-of-conscience after bringing life back to the man in the form of a mechanical body and reprogrammed brain, while Samuel L. Jackson plays a larger-than-life media mogul.

RoboCop is a 2014 American science fiction action film directed by José Padilha. It is a remake of the 1987 film of the same name and a reboot of the RoboCop film series, making it the fourth installment of the franchise. The film stars Joel Kinnaman in the title role.

Screen Gems first announced a remake in 2005, but it was halted one year later. Darren Aronofsky and David Self were originally assigned to direct and write the film, respectively, for a tentative 2010 release. The film was delayed numerous times, and Padilha signed on in 2011. In March 2012, MGM announced an August 2013 release, but that was then changed to February 2014. The principal characters were cast from March to July 2012. Principal photography began in September 2012 in Toronto and Vancouver in Canada, with additional locations in Hamilton and Detroit in the United States.

The film is scheduled for release in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia on January 30, 2014, in Taiwan on January 31, 2014, in the United Kingdom on February 7, 2014 and in the United States on February 12, 2014.

Plot
In 2028, multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years but the Dreyfuss Act, a publically-supported act preventing drones from being allowed to bear firearms, prevents the drones from being used locally. OmniCorp CEO Raymond Sellars (Michael Keaton) has his marketing team, in conjunction with scientist Dr. Dennett Norton (Gary Oldman), to create a new law enforcement product by combining human and machine.

Policeman Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) is critically injured by a carbomb planted by crooked cops under the payroll of local crime boss Antoine Vallon. Norton picks Murphy for the RoboCop program, and after getting consent from Murphy's wife, Clara (Abbie Cornish), has him outfitted with the Robocop body and software, which gives him enhanced strength along with instant computing information in his brain. Alex at first rejects his current condition, but is convinced by Norton to be strong for his wife and son. Rick Mattox (Jackie Earle Haley), OmniCorp's military tactician, is skeptical of Alex's abilities and points out he will never be as efficient as a drone. In order to make Alex perform better, Norton tampers with Alex's brain, making him believe that his tactical decisions are his own when he is actually executing programs.

While preparing for a public press conference to unveil RoboCop, Alex is emotionally overwhelmed and has a seizure while downloading the police database information into his brain. Pressed for time, Norton has Alex's brain chemistry altered, lowering his dopamine levels until he no longer displays any emotions. Under control, Alex attends the press conference, where he ignores his waiting wife and son, and efficiently apprehends a criminal in the crowd. RoboCop is a public relations success, and afterward Alex is successful in drastically reducing the crime rate in Detroit. Public opinion on the Dreyfuss Act begins to turn.

Clara, who has been prevented by OmniCorp from seeing Alex, manages to confront her husband as he is leaving the station, telling him about his son David's nightmares. Alex leaves, but then overrides his programming and detours from his current case to go to his house. He reviews the CCTV footage of his accident and realizes that David saw his body and was traumatized by it. Alex then pursues Vallon for revenge, tracking him down to a warehouse where Alex then kills everyone. Alex then returns to the station to apprehend the two cops who sold him out; they tell him that the Chief of Police is in on it. Alex kills the two cops, and is about to arrest the Chief of Police when Mattox, who has been given full access to the RoboCop program, remotely shuts him down.

Sellars decides to spin this turn of events to his advantage, via television presenter Pat Novak (Samuel L. Jackson), who thanks RoboCop for revealing the fallibility of the police, and points out that drones are incorruptible. A repeal of the Dreyfuss Act goes underway, with votes overwhelmingly in support of the repeal. Sellars tells Norton that RoboCop is no longer relevant, and sends Mattox to destroy him. Norton reaches Alex in the lab first and has him brought back to consciousness, telling him everything. Alex, feeling betrayed, goes after Sellars.

Sellars has the OmniCorp building shut down and armed with drones. Alex manages to gain entry with the help of his former partner, Jack Lewis (Michael K. Williams) and other police officers. Alex reaches the roof, where Sellars is waiting for a helicopter and has Clara and David as hostages. Alex's programming prevents him from arresting Sellars, but he manages to overcome it just long enough to shoot Sellars, killing him.

In the closing scenes, OmniCorp's parent company, OCP, decides to review the drone and RoboCop program. The President vetoes the repeal of the Dreyfuss Act based on the testimony of Norton, who confesses everything they'd done in the RoboCop program. Alex's body is rebuilt in Norton's laboratory, and then he waits for Clara and David, who are coming to visit him.
